Additional Learning Needs

Ysgol Y Parc is an inclusive infant school and we value all of our pupils equally. We celebrate diversity and uniqueness!

We offer a range of different groups and strategies to help pupils who have, or may have, additional needs and we adhere to the National Code of Practice. We are able to offer a variety of well-being and social interventions such as Seasons for Growth, Time to Talk, Nurture and Drawing and Talking. These are run by highly trained, experienced, teaching assistants within the school.

We work closely with parents, carers and external agencies in Denbighshire to ensure that individual needs are being met. This may include Educational Psychologists (EP), Denbighshire School's Outreach Services (DSOS), the Speech and Language team(SALT), School Nurses or Occupational Therapists (OT).

Mrs Cathy Price is the Additional Learning Needs Co-ordinator (ALNCo). If you have any questions or concerns then please do not hesitate to contact the school to discuss any matter relating to your child, their needs or their progress.
